Copper Spring Ranch in Bozeman Montana, partnered with Coffman Barns to build their new stud and breeding barn and the roof structure for the hot walker. Copper Spring Ranch chose Coffman Barns, authorized MD Barnmaster dealer for Montana, Colorado and Wyoming, because of the specific requirements they needed to withstand Northern Montana weather conditions.

Copper Spring Ranch Barn Requirements:
Like many areas of the western United States, fire seasons pose a real threat to Norther Montana. MD Barnmaster’s steel lined wall systems and metal roofing offers near zero flame spread.
LOW MAINTENANCE, NONPOROUS, CHEW THRU PROOF STALLS
MD Barnmaster’s steel lined wall systems and feature 26ga zinc steel siding laminated over 3/4“ plywood with 26ga pre-finished painted steel wall siding at exterior. Top of the line door hardware and bridged weep hole in the bottom proprietary wall channel specifically designed by MD Barnmaster provides years of carefree use.
INSULATED WALL SYSTEM DUE TO 20 +- DEG BELOW ZERO MONTANA WINTERS
MD Barnmaster’s 2” insulated exterior wall system with solid foam board helps keep the freezing Norther Montana cold out of the barn while still offering the steel lined interior. Combine this with the optional insulated roof system can help keep the barn around 40 degrees inside when its 20 degrees below.
KICK THRU WALLS FOR THEIR STALLIONS
MD Barnmaster’s lifetime kick thru warranty on their steel lined wall panels provides the confidence and safety features that your horses will not be able to kick thru the stall walls which can cause injury.
HEAVY SNOW LOAD SAFE TO MEET MONTANA CONDITIONS
The Copper Springs Ranch Barn and Hot Walker roof structure were specifically designed to withstand the heavy snow loads required for Northern Montana. MD Barnmaster’s barns and roof structures are engineered for local weather conditions.
FREESPAN BREEDING AREA WITH RAISED EAVES
MD Barnmaster was able to provide a 36’ x 40’ freespan roof system to allow freedom for an unobstructed array of breeding operations needed by Copper Springs Ranch.
OVERSIZED 12′ x 24′ STALLS FOR STALLIONS
MD Barnmaster’s has perfected modular barn building since 1975. Divider walls can be engineered to be removed allowing for extra large stalls such as the 12′ x 24′ sizes required by Copper Springs ranch to accommodate large stallions.
OPERATIVE CLERESTORY INSULATED WINDOWS AT EAVES
MD Barnmaster provided the Copper Springs Ranch with insulated windows that can be opened for ventilation during summer months.
